18 U.S.C. §§ 2257–2257A statement
Effective
Erotific publishes written fiction submitted by authors. Written stories do not themselves depict performers in photographs, video, or other visual media. The recordkeeping rules in 18 U.S.C. §§ 2257 and 2257A concern qualifying visual depictions of actual people engaged in actual or simulated sexually explicit conduct. This statement is limited to the site’s written-story content.
Visual advertisements and third-party material
Erotific also displays affiliate advertisements and may display visual material supplied by third parties. This page does not certify those materials, verify performers, or claim a sitewide exemption. The legal status and required records for any visual material must be assessed separately; a third-party source alone does not establish exemption.
Where recordkeeping and disclosure obligations apply, they require actual records and an appropriate compliance statement identifying the records custodian and location as required by law. This page does not identify a records custodian or certify that such records are held by Erotific.
Questions or concerns
To raise a concern about visual material displayed through Erotific, email help@erotific.com or use Report a concern. Include the page URL, the date and approximate time, and enough information to identify the advertisement or placement. Do not download, attach, or redistribute explicit or potentially illegal material.
The Content policy requires all characters in sexual situations in submitted fiction to be unambiguously adults. A fictional character’s age, an 18+ label, or an author’s declaration is not verification of a real performer’s identity or age.
