Anything For Her
I sat stewing in front of the TV, clicking through channels almost as fast as they could appear. Fleeting images of Oprah, some game show, ESPN, MTV, Jerry Springer, and other programming crap flashed before me as I brooded over my firing earlier that day. With the TV muted, it was so quiet in our house you could almost hear the lights blinking on our Christmas tree, especially since my wife Janice refused to talk to me. The gray skies on this December Monday afternoon seemed to complement my mood perfectly.
And to think just four days earlier, everything was completely different. I was wrapping up the paperwork on one of the best years the company I worked for had ever had, whistling carols as I pondered leaving work early to prepare for the company Christmas party that night. Even though he had taken to busting my balls lately, Chris, my boss, uncharacteristically told me I could go a bit early. At 30, Chris is a couple of years younger than me, and coupled with the fact I had interviewed and trained him, I admit I had been having some problems with the fact that he got promoted over me. Chris is a bit cocky too, and had not been good about concealing the thrill of victory over me. In general, our relationship had been a bit tense.
Nevertheless, when I got home, I was thrilled to see Janice, my wife of four months. She had already gotten dressed and ready for the party in a black backless evening dress that looked almost obscene on her gorgeous, slim figure. My wife works out daily at her job (she's a physical therapist), and at 26, she's in the physical prime of her life.
While I love my wife fiber and soul now, I admit it was her tremendous physique that first attracted me to her. The gentle swell of her breasts is accentuated by their tremendous shape, if not their size, and her waist seems amazingly small, even on her athletic frame. I think she told me once that it was 22", but I admit that that seems impossible. The flatness of her stomach makes her look like the cover photo for Fitness magazine, but it is her backside that truly "sealed the deal" for me. Firm, high, and framed by beautifully articulated hips, I think it is to die for.
Her ass is so nice, it took some time for me to realize that her face is also quite exquisite. I guess I'm handsome, and I know I have an easy manner that seems to attract women, but I was still somewhat surprised and thrilled when she accepted my invitation to a dinner date. Although I was a little more nervous than I usually am on a first date, I hid it well, and during the course of the evening I found her wonderfully witty, romantic, and attractive. Her body made me fall in lust, but her mind, corny as this may sound, made me fall in love. Two months later — for last year's Christmas — I gave her an engagement ring, and eight months after that we were married.
Our sex life has been fabulous, and she has always appreciated my fascination with her ass. She enjoys humoring my desire to kiss and lick it, and there'd always been an unspoken undertone of dominance and submission in it, what with me constantly kissing her ass (even when we were not having sex). One thing I'd always wanted to do that she would never go for was anal sex, but since it was more of a fantasy than a real desire, it hadn't been any sort of problem for me.
With a beautiful wife like that, a guy has to expect that there's going to be a lot of attention given to her by other guys. I was a pretty secure guy though, and generally those types of things didn't bother me. I'd never noticed Janice looking at any other guy anyway, so there never seemed to be too much to worry about. The only time I got a little jealous over another guy was one day when my boss Chris saw a picture of Janice on my desk. He picked up the picture, and whistled, saying, "If you want to make sure you get a good raise, I know exactly what you can do..." I almost decked him!
Janice never looked better than she did at that party, which was held in the office. By the time we arrived, it had already gotten into full swing, with fully catered food, a DJ, and an open bar, but every guy in the room still stopped and stared at Janice as we walked in. I felt complimented rather than threatened by the obvious male attention she attracted.
The trouble started when I introduced Janice to Chris. I wasn't too surprised at Chris's reaction to my wife, which could best be described as thinly veiled drooling. What knocked me for a loop was Janice's reaction to Chris. I saw something in her eyes I'd never seen directed at another man. Perhaps it was my rivalry with Chris making me sensitive, but it seemed that her acceptance of a kiss on the cheek from Chris was a tad beyond the limits of graciousness. I'd never seen her touch another man before, and it felt almost like a physical punch when I saw her put her hand on his arm at the introduction. To my perception, her facial expression was that of a woman barely capable of hiding her pleasure as he leaned forward and gave her that kiss.
My evening was already immediately spoiled, but it only got worse. Chris and Janice spent the next half hour talking to each other, mostly about the coincidence that they went to the same college and grew up in neighboring hometowns. When I was finally able to tear her away from him, I whispered a scream at her, "What the hell are you doing?"
"What the hell are you talking about?" she shot back.
"Are you hot for him or what?!"
"Who??"
"Chris, goddammit!"
"Don't be stupid, Alan, or we'll leave this fucking party right now!"
She'd started to talk almost loud enough to attract others' attention, so I wanted to tone it down. Even though her anger only seemed to make me angrier, I didn't want to cause a scene, so I decided I'd let it go now and that there'd be hell to pay later.
"Fine!" I said, and she turned and walked away without saying a word. I decided it would be best to calm down, so I started trying to talk to other people, but I was too distracted by what had just happened, so I went to the makeshift bar by our copier and ordered a screwdriver. Problem was, I didn't leave the bar for quite a while, and the next thing I knew I was on my fifth drink and really feeling it.
I had relaxed though, and with reason finally taking control I thought it would be best if we just got the hell out of there after all. I left the bar and began trying to hunt up Janice to see if we could get going. Well, when I found her, she was in the conference room with Chris. Once again, seeing her with that hand on his arm, I got the strange sensation that they were just a little too familiar with each other for two people who had just met. In my semi-inebriated state, I just blew a gasket. I walked over to the two of them and screamed, "What the hell is going on here!!"
Everyone in the office suddenly stopped what they were doing and all eyes were on us. Chris turned to me and said, "You'd better just calm down there, sport!" This sent me over the edge and I pulled a fist back and punched him square in the mouth. Chris went down and blood began to pour from his split lip, but I didn't wait to see what he would do or say. I grabbed Janice by the wrist, pulled her to the coats, and then out the door.
When we got into the car, she screamed at me, "What the FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU!?", but I just ignored her and drove home. I was surprised that the barrage of screaming I was expecting never came. Instead we rode home in absolute silence. When we got there, she quietly got out of the car and went inside the house. The only other sound I heard came from the bedroom door as she slammed it and locked it.
I collapsed on our living room couch with my coat still on and after a few minutes of wondering how I'd gotten into this mess, I passed out.
