Desert Steel

“Inside me,” you demand, breaking the kiss. “Now, Jagger. Need you inside me.”

He doesn’t hesitate, notching the head of his cock against your entrance, pushing inside in one smooth, powerful thrust. You cry out at the stretch, the delicious fullness of him, your body welcoming him in. He stills for a moment, buried to the hilt, his forehead resting against yours. You can feel him trembling, the same desperate need that’s coursing through you.

“Okay?” he murmurs, his voice rough with restraint.

“Better than okay,” you whisper, canting your hips to take him even deeper. “Perfect. You feel… God, Jagger, you feel incredible.”

He groans, long and low, and starts to move. His thrusts are slow, deep, deliberate, each one hitting that sweet spot inside you with devastating accuracy. You cling to him, meeting him thrust for thrust, your body coiling tighter and tighter with every stroke. The world narrows to this – to the drag and slide of his cock inside you, the harsh rasp of his breath against your ear, the desperate clutch of your hands on his sweat-slicked skin. The bed creaks beneath you, the headboard thumping against the wall in a steady, primal rhythm, the only sound besides your mingled gasps and moans.

“Fuck, Jessa,” Jagger gasps, his thrusts growing faster, harder, more erratic. “You feel… God, you’re so tight… so hot… I’m not gonna last…”

“Come for me,” you urge, squeezing him inside you, nails scoring his back. “Want to feel you come. Want you to fill me up.”

He groans, a raw, guttural sound, and slams into you one last time, his body shuddering as he spills himself inside you. The feel of him pulsing deep within you, the look of pure, unguarded bliss on his face – it’s enough to send you flying over the edge after him. You come with a cry, your body clamping down on his, waves of ecstasy crashing through you, leaving you breathless and boneless in his arms.

He holds you through it, his face buried in the curve of your neck, his breath warm and ragged against your skin. You cling to him, trembling, aftershocks of pleasure still rippling through you. Sex and sweat scent the air, sheets damp beneath you, hearts slowing into sync.

After a long moment, Jagger lifts his head, his eyes searching yours. They’re soft now, sated, full of a tenderness that makes your heart ache. “Okay?” he asks again, brushing a strand of hair from your face with gentle fingers.

“Better than okay,” you repeat, smiling up at him. You trace the line of his jaw, the curve of his lips, your touch reverent. “That was… everything.”

“Yeah,” he agrees, his voice full of wonder. “It was.” He presses a soft, lingering kiss to your lips. “You’re incredible, Jessa. In every way.”

“So are you,” you whisper, your heart so full it feels like it might burst. You run your hands down his back, savoring the feel of his skin, the play of muscle beneath your palms. He’s still inside you, softening but still filling you, and you never want him to leave. You want to stay like this forever, joined, connected, safe in this intimate bubble.

But reality intrudes, as it always does. You need to clean up, to deal with the condom situation – except there is no condom, you realize with a jolt. In the heat of the moment, in the blind, desperate need to be close to him, you forgot. A flicker of unease sparks in your gut, but you smother it quickly. Now’s not the time for regrets. Now’s the time for savoring this connection, this closeness.

“You’re thinking too loud,” Jagger murmurs, his thumb stroking your cheekbone. “What’s wrong?”

“Nothing,” you say, forcing a smile. “Just… we didn’t use anything. I’m not… I’m not on anything. And I’m clean, but…”

“I’m clean too,” he says, his voice steady, reassuring. “Got tested a few months back, haven’t been with anyone since. And if something happens…” He swallows, his gaze intent on yours. “Whatever happens, we’ll deal with it. Together.”

You nod, your throat tight. “Together,” you echo, leaning in for another kiss. It’s slower this time, sweeter, a promise passed between you. A promise of a future, uncertain but bright with possibility.

You drift off in each other’s arms, bodies still linked, his taste lingering on your tongue. For tonight, at least, the world outside your door doesn’t exist. For tonight, there’s only Jagger, and the unbreakable bond you’ve forged.

The peace doesn’t last. It never does. The sun’s barely cresting the horizon when the first bike rumbles into your driveway, the sound shattering the quiet morning. You’re awake instantly, years of city living and a mechanic’s early schedule making you a light sleeper. Jagger’s still dead to the world beside you, his face relaxed in sleep, one arm slung possessively over your waist. You slip out from under it carefully, trying not to wake him, and pad to the window.

Your stomach drops. It’s not just one bike. It’s six. Iron Renegades, their cuts stark black in the early light. At their head is Rusty, his face grim, his posture radiating fury. You grab the first clothes you find – yesterday’s jeans, one of Jagger’s discarded t-shirts – and slip out the back door, your heart pounding a frantic rhythm against your ribs. You’re not sure what you’re going to do, but you know you need to head them off before they get to Jagger. Before this turns into the bloodbath you’re afraid it might.

You’re too slow. You’re barely three steps onto the porch when you hear the crash of your front door being kicked in, followed by the sound of raised voices. You take off running, bursting into the house just in time to see Jagger, wearing only his jeans, being hauled out of the bedroom by two of the Renegades. Rusty’s right behind them, his face a mask of cold fury.

“Jagger!” you yell, trying to push past the bikers blocking your way. One of them grabs your arm, his grip bruising, yanking you back. “Let him go! What the hell do you think you’re doing?”

Rusty turns to look at you, his eyes like chips of ice. “This is club business, girl,” he snarls. “You stay out of it.”

“The hell I will!” you fire back, struggling against the biker’s hold. “This is my house! Jagger’s my–”

“You’re the reason for this!” Rusty roars, cutting you off. He takes a step toward you, his fists clenched at his sides. “You and your goddamn meddling. You’ve turned his head, made him forget where his loyalties lie.” He turns back to Jagger, who’s watching the exchange with a stony expression, his jaw clenched tight. “What the fuck are you doing, Jagger? Shacking up with this outsider? Letting her come between you and your brothers?”

“Jessa’s not coming between anything,” Jagger says, his voice low and steady. “She’s not the problem here, Rusty. You are.”

Rusty’s face darkens. “You ungrateful piece of shit,” he hisses. “After everything this club’s done for you? After everything we’ve been through? You’d throw it all away for a piece of ass?”

Jagger surges forward, fury blazing in his eyes, but the two Renegades holding him tighten their grip, wrestling him back. “She’s not a piece of ass!” Jagger shouts, his voice raw with anger. “She’s everything! Everything you and this goddamn club will never be!”

The words hang in the air, a death knell for whatever loyalty Jagger might have had left. The room goes silent, the tension thick enough to choke on. You see the shock on the other Renegades’ faces, the dawning realization that one of their own has truly turned against them. You see the rage on Rusty’s face, the betrayal that cuts deeper than any knife.

“So that’s how it is,” Rusty says, his voice dangerously soft. He takes a step toward Jagger, his eyes never leaving his face. “You’ve made your choice, then.” It’s not a question.

Jagger meets his gaze unflinchingly, his shoulders squared, his chin held high. “I have,” he says, his voice clear and strong.

Rusty’s fist catches him square in the jaw, snapping his head back. “Wrong choice,” he snarls. He turns to the men holding Jagger. “Get him out of here. Take him back to the clubhouse.” He turns to look at you, his eyes filled with a cold, implacable hatred. “And you… you stay the fuck away from him. From all of us. Or next time, it won’t be him we come for.”

You watch them drag Jagger away, your heart a cold, heavy stone in your chest. His eyes meet yours for one fleeting second, a world of regret and reassurance in that single glance, before he’s hustled out the door and into the harsh morning light. The roar of bikes fills the air, a sound that used to spell safety, homecoming. Now it’s a warning, a threat, the soundtrack to your splintering world.
