The Quiet of Knots and Need

BDSMComplete

I slip out of bed, padding quietly to the bathroom. I take care of business, splashing cold water on my face to clear the last of the sleep from my mind. I look at myself in the mirror, taking in the shadows under my eyes, the stubble darkening my jaw. *Long night. Good night.*

I rinse my mouth, brushing my teeth quickly. I run a hand through my hair, pushing the short strands back into some semblance of order. *Good enough.*

I head back into the bedroom, grabbing a pair of sweatpants from the dresser. I pull them on, the soft fabric warm against my skin. I glance at the bed, where Morgan is still sleeping soundly. *Let them rest. They earned it.*

I make my way downstairs, the house quiet around me. I putter around the kitchen, putting on a pot of coffee, pulling out mugs and cream and sugar. I lean against the counter as the coffee brews, the rich scent filling the air.

*Last night was…* I trail off, searching for the right word. *Intense. Powerful. Beautiful.* I settle on the last, a small smile tugging at my lips. *Morgan was beautiful. So open, so trusting. So perfectly submissive.*

I pour myself a cup of coffee, adding a splash of cream. I take a sip, the hot liquid warming me from the inside out. I glance at the clock on the microwave. *Still early. Plenty of time before Morgan wakes up.*

I carry my mug into the living room, settling into my favorite armchair. I pull a book from the stack on the side table, opening it to the bookmark. I read for a while, sipping my coffee, letting the quiet of the morning wash over me.

I’m not sure how much time passes before I hear the creak of the stairs. I look up, setting my book aside. Morgan appears in the doorway, their hair tousled from sleep, their eyes still a little bleary. They’re wearing one of my t-shirts, the hem hanging down to their thighs. The sight of them, all soft and sleepy in my clothes, sends a warm pulse of affection through me.

“Morning,” I say, my voice a low rumble in the quiet room.

Morgan blinks at me, a slow smile spreading across their face. “Morning,” they echo, their voice rough with sleep. They pad over to me, crawling into my lap with easy familiarity. I wrap my arms around them, holding them close.

“Sleep okay?” I ask, pressing a soft kiss to the top of their head.

Morgan hums, nodding. “Like a log,” they mumble into my chest. “You?”

“Like the dead,” I confirm, my hand stroking up and down their back. “Coffee?”

Morgan nods, burrowing closer for just a moment before pulling back. “Please,” they say, their voice a little clearer now.

I shift them off my lap, standing up. “Stay,” I say, pressing a quick kiss to their forehead. “I’ll get it.”

I head back into the kitchen, pouring Morgan a cup of coffee. I add a generous splash of cream, just the way they like it. I carry it back into the living room, handing it to them with a smile. “Here you go, baby.”

Morgan takes it with a grateful smile, wrapping their hands around the warm mug. “Thanks, Ri,” they murmur, taking a sip. “Mm, perfect.”

I settle back into the armchair, pulling Morgan’s feet into my lap. I start to rub them, my thumbs pressing into the arches. Morgan moans softly, their eyes fluttering closed. “God, that’s good,” they sigh, leaning back against the couch cushions.

I work in silence for a few minutes, just letting the quiet comfort of the moment wash over us. Morgan sips their coffee, their eyes slowly opening, their gaze finding mine. “Last night was…” they trail off, searching for the words. “Wow.”

I chuckle, my hands still moving over their feet. “Yeah, it was,” I agree, my voice warm. “You were incredible, baby. So good for me.”

Morgan blushes, a soft pink rising on their cheeks. “I felt incredible,” they admit, their voice a little shy. “Like I was flying.”

I nod, my thumb tracing the line of their instep. “You flew beautifully,” I tell them, my voice soft. “Trusted me to hold you, to keep you safe.”

“Always,” Morgan says, their voice firm. “I always trust you, Ri.”

I meet their gaze, letting them see the warmth in my eyes, the affection, the pride. “I know you do,” I say, my voice just as firm. “And I’m honored by that trust. By the gift of your submission.”

Morgan’s blush deepens, a small smile playing on their lips. “It’s not a gift if I enjoy it just as much as you do,” they tease, their eyes sparkling with mischief.

I laugh, shaking my head. “Brat,” I say fondly, giving their foot a playful swat. “But you’re my brat.”

“Always,” Morgan agrees, their smile widening. They take another sip of their coffee, their expression turning a little more serious. “Last night was… a lot. In a good way. But I think I might need a few days before we do anything like that again.”

I nod, my hands stilling on their feet. “Of course, baby. We always go at your pace. You know that.” I pause, studying their face. “How are you feeling this morning? Any soreness, any lingering effects?”

Morgan considers, rolling their shoulders a little. “A bit of tightness in my shoulders,” they admit. “And I can still feel where the rope was. But it’s a good feeling. A reminder.” They meet my gaze, their eyes a little hesitant. “Is that weird?”

I shake my head, a soft smile on my face. “No, baby. Not weird at all. It’s a common feeling after a heavy scene. The marks, the soreness… they can be a reminder of what you experienced, what you endured. It can be comforting, in a way.”

Morgan nods, looking relieved. “Yeah, that’s it exactly. It’s like… a souvenir. A memento of what we shared.”

“A love bite for your soul,” I tease, my voice light.

Morgan snorts, rolling their eyes. “Dork,” they accuse, but they’re smiling. They finish their coffee, setting the mug aside. “Can we just… be today? No big plans, no stress. Just us.”

“Sounds perfect,” I agree, resuming my massage of their feet. “We can stay in, watch movies, order pizza. Just relax and recover.”

“Mm, pizza,” Morgan sighs, their eyes fluttering closed again. “You always know just what I need, Ri.”

I chuckle, my hands moving up to their calves. “That’s my job, baby. Taking care of you. Giving you what you need.”

Morgan hums, a contented smile on their face. “You’re so good at it,” they murmur, their voice a little drowsy. “The best.”

I continue my massage, letting the quiet peace of the moment wash over me. The morning sunlight streams through the window, warm and golden. The house is quiet, the only sound the soft sighs of Morgan’s breath, the creak of the old armchair under my weight.

*This. This is what it’s all about.* I let the thought wash over me, warm and satisfying. *The connection. The trust. The care. The love.*

I don’t know how long we sit there, just basking in each other’s presence, in the quiet comfort of home. Eventually, Morgan stirs, blinking their eyes open. “I’m hungry,” they announce, their voice still a little sleepy.

I laugh, shaking my head. “All right, baby. Let’s get some breakfast in you.” I pat their legs, urging them to sit up. “What do you want? Eggs? Pancakes? Waffles?”

“Mm, pancakes,” Morgan says immediately, their eyes lighting up. “With chocolate chips?”

“With chocolate chips,” I confirm, standing up. I hold out a hand to them, helping them to their feet. “Come on, lazybones. Let’s get some food in that belly.”

Morgan follows me into the kitchen, perching on a stool at the counter. I start pulling out ingredients, mixing up the batter, heating up the griddle. Morgan watches me, their chin propped on their hand. “You know, you’re pretty sexy when you cook,” they say, their voice teasing.

I snort, shaking my head. “Yeah, yeah, flattery will get you everywhere,” I say, pouring the first batch of batter onto the hot surface. The edges sizzle, the scent of cooking pancakes filling the air.

Morgan just grins, unrepentant. “I mean it,” they insist, their eyes sparkling. “All domestic and shit. It’s hot.”

I roll my eyes, but I’m smiling. “Well, I aim to please,” I say, flipping the pancakes with a practiced flick of my wrist.

“Mm, you do,” Morgan agrees, their voice a low purr. “In all kinds of ways.”

I shoot them a look, but there’s no heat in it. “Behave, brat,” I say, my voice mild. “Or I’ll burn your pancakes.”

Morgan mimes zipping their lips, their eyes wide and innocent. I just shake my head, turning back to the stove.
