The Record Keeper's Heart
Rowan cried out at the sensation, their body welcoming him in with a sigh of relief. They’d never felt anything like it—the perfect fullness, the incredible rightness of having Morgan inside them.
“Okay?” Morgan murmured, his forehead pressed to Rowan’s, his breathing ragged.
Rowan nodded, their eyes fluttering closed as they savored the feeling. “More than okay,” they breathed. “You feel amazing.”
Morgan started to move, his thrusts slow and deep, each one hitting Rowan’s sweet spot with unerring accuracy. Rowan met him move for move, their bodies falling into a perfect rhythm, like they’d been made for this, for each other.
The pleasure built slowly, a warm glow that spread out from Rowan’s core and suffused their entire body. They clung to Morgan, their nails digging into his back, their breath coming in short, sharp gasps.
“Morgan,” they whimpered, their release bearing down on them with the force of a freight train. “I’m close.”
Morgan’s thrusts faltered, his breath catching in his throat. “Come for me, sweetheart,” he whispered, his voice rough with desire. “Let me feel you.”
Rowan’s body obeyed, their orgasm washing over them in a wave of pure, unadulterated pleasure. They cried out Morgan’s name, their body shuddering with the force of their release.
Morgan followed a moment later, his body tensing as he spilled inside them with a low groan. He collapsed on top of Rowan, his weight a warm, comforting blanket.
They lay like that for a long moment, their breathing slowly returning to normal, their hearts beating in sync. Rowan traced lazy patterns on Morgan’s back, savoring the feel of his skin against theirs.
“I love you,” Morgan murmured, his lips brushing against Rowan’s ear. “So much.”
Rowan smiled, their heart swelling in their chest. “I love you too,” they whispered. “Always.”
The next morning, they woke up tangled together, Morgan’s arm slung low across Rowan’s waist, their legs intertwined. Rowan smiled, a sense of deep contentment settling over them.
They made love again, slow and sweet, taking their time to explore each other’s bodies with a newfound sense of wonder. Afterwards, they lay together, talking and laughing, reveling in the simple joy of being together.
When they finally dragged themselves out of bed, they headed to Vinyl Havens, hands clasped, smiles wide. The found family was waiting for them, Casey and the others gathered around a table in the back.
“Well, well, well,” Casey drawled, a knowing grin on their face. “Look who finally decided to join the land of the living.”
Rowan blushed, ducking their head, but Morgan just laughed, pulling them closer. “We had some things to work out,” he said, his voice warm with affection.
“We’re so happy for you both,” Casey said, their smile softening into something genuine. “You deserve this. You deserve each other.”
The others chimed in with their own congratulations, hugs and handshakes all around. Rowan looked around at the faces of their found family, their heart full to bursting.
They’d never imagined they could have this—a love like this, a family like this. But here they were, surrounded by the people they cared about most in the world, the man they loved by their side.
They stayed at the record store for hours, talking and laughing, the weight of their secret love no longer a burden but a joy to be shared. As the sun began to set, casting the store in a warm, golden glow, Rowan found themself reaching for Morgan’s hand, giving it a gentle squeeze.
Morgan looked down at them, his smile soft and tender. “Ready to go home?”
Rowan nodded, their own smile mirroring his. “Yes. Let’s go home.”
As they walked out of the store together, Rowan couldn’t help but think back to the unsent letters, to the words they’d poured out onto the page in the dark of night. They’d been a lifeline, a way to express the feelings they’d been too afraid to say out loud.
But now, with Morgan by their side, their hand warm and solid in theirs, Rowan knew they didn’t need the letters anymore. They had everything they’d ever wanted, everything they’d ever needed, right here, right now.
They had love. They had family. They had a future, bright and shining, stretching out before them.
And that was more than enough.
The Record Keeper’s Heart was full.
