The Layover
Leo’s control seemed to snap at her words, his hips pistoning into her with a wild abandon that took her breath away. Elara clung to him, her body meeting his every thrust, her moans echoing in the quiet of the lounge.
“Elara,” Leo panted, his hands sliding down to cup her bottom, angling her hips to take him even deeper. “I’m close, love. I need you to come for me.”
Elara’s body responded to his words, her inner muscles clenching around him as she hurtled towards the edge. “Leo,” she whimpered, her head thrashing from side to side. “Don’t stop, please don’t stop.”
Leo’s hips snapped forward, his thumb finding the sensitive bundle of nerves at the apex of her thighs. “Come for me, Elara,” he growled, his voice rough with command. “Let me feel you come apart on my cock.”
Elara’s world shattered at his words, her body convulsing around him as wave after wave of ecstasy crashed over her. She screamed his name, her nails raking down his back as she lost herself in the intensity of her release.
Leo followed her over the edge a moment later, his body shuddering as he emptied himself inside her with a guttural moan. “Elara,” he whispered reverently, his lips brushing against her sweat-dampened brow. “My god, Elara.”
They collapsed together in a tangle of limbs, their chests heaving as they struggled to catch their breath. Elara’s body felt boneless, sated in a way she had never experienced before.
“Wow,” she breathed, her fingers tracing lazy patterns on his back. “That was…”
“Earth-shattering?” Leo supplied, his voice heavy with satisfaction. “Mind-blowing? Life-altering?”
Elara laughed softly, her heart swelling with affection for this man who had so utterly undone her. “All of the above,” she confirmed, her lips brushing against his. “And then some.”
Leo’s smile was slow and sweet, his eyes filled with a tenderness that made her breath catch in her throat. “I’m glad,” he murmured, his fingers skimming down her cheek. “Because you’ve just ruined me for all other women, Dr. Vance.”
Elara’s heart skipped a beat at his words, at the implication of a future beyond this stolen moment in time. “Is that so?” she teased, her eyes dancing with mirth. “And what if I said the feeling was mutual, Mr. Thorne?”
Leo’s grin was pure male satisfaction, his arms tightening around her. “Then I’d say we’re in a bit of a pickle, aren’t we?” he quipped, his lips brushing against her ear. “Because I have a feeling that one night with you will never be enough.”
Elara’s breath hitched in her throat, her body already responding to his touch. “Leo,” she whispered, her voice heavy with want. “What are you doing to me?”
Leo’s chuckle was low and wicked, his hands already roaming over her body once more. “Everything,” he promised, his lips trailing a path of fire down her throat. “Everything and more.”
And as they lost themselves in each other once more, Elara knew that she was forever changed, that this man had irrevocably altered the course of her life. And for the first time in a long time, she wasn’t afraid of what the future might bring. Because with Leo by her side, she knew that anything was possible.
Later, as the first rays of dawn began to creep across the airport lounge, Elara and Leo reluctantly disentangled themselves from each other’s arms. The magic of the night before still clung to them like a second skin, but the reality of their separate lives loomed large in the harsh light of day.
“I guess this is goodbye,” Elara murmured, her voice heavy with a sadness she couldn’t quite conceal.
Leo’s arms tightened around her, his lips brushing against her hair. “It’s not goodbye,” he corrected softly. “It’s just ‘see you later.’”
Elara’s heart clenched at his words, at the promise they held. “Do you really think we’ll see each other again?”
Leo pulled back slightly, his blue eyes locking on hers. “I know we will,” he said firmly, his voice ringing with conviction. “What we have, Elara…it’s too special to let it end here.”
Elara’s breath hitched in her throat, her eyes misting with unshed tears. “I want to believe that,” she whispered, her fingers tangling in the fabric of his shirt. “I want to believe that this is just the beginning.”
“It is,” Leo promised, his lips claiming hers in a searing kiss that stole the breath from her lungs. “This is just the beginning of our story, love. And I intend to make sure it has a very happy ending.”
As they reluctantly parted ways, their respective flights now boarding, Elara and Leo exchanged one last, lingering glance filled with all the words they hadn’t said. The air between them crackled with unspoken emotion, with the weight of all the possibilities that lay ahead.
And then, with a small smile playing on her lips and the memory of their passion burning bright in her heart, Elara boarded her plane, ready to face whatever the future might bring.
