The Velvet Hour

Leo stared at himself in the mirror, his breath catching in his throat. The person looking back at him was a revelation—a vision in lace and silk, all curves and softness and vulnerability. *Is this me?* he wondered, his heart racing. *Is this who I’ve always been meant to be?*

“You look…” Morgan’s voice trailed off, their eyes dark and hungry as they took him in. “You look like a dream.”

Leo turned to face them, his cheeks flushing under their gaze. “I feel like one,” he admitted, his voice low and breathy. “I feel… exquisite.”

“You are,” Morgan purred, reaching out to trace the lace along his collarbone. “You are the most exquisite thing I’ve ever seen.”

Their touch sent a shiver down Leo’s spine, heat unfurling in his core. He stepped closer, his hands coming to rest on Morgan’s hips, his body drawn to theirs like a magnet.

“Morgan,” he whispered, his voice rough with want. “I… I want…”

“Tell me,” Morgan murmured, their lips a hairsbreadth from his. “Tell me what you want, darling.”

“I want you,” Leo breathed, his hands fisting in the fabric of their shirt. “I want all of you.”

Morgan’s lips curved into a slow, sensual smile. “Then take me,” they purred, their hands sliding up his back, pulling him flush against them. “I’m all yours.”

Their lips met, soft and seeking, a spark igniting between them. Leo moaned into the kiss, his arms winding around Morgan’s neck, his body arching into theirs. The world fell away, narrowing to the slide of Morgan’s tongue against his, the press of their body against his own, the heat building between them.

*This is it,* Leo thought, his heart soaring. *This is everything I’ve ever wanted.*

They broke apart slowly, Leo’s lips tingling, his breath coming in soft pants. Morgan smiled at him, their eyes dark with promise.

“But first,” they murmured, their thumb brushing over Leo’s kiss-swollen bottom lip, “we should probably get your new outfit paid for, don’t you think?”

Leo blinked, his thoughts fuzzy with desire. “Right,” he said, his voice rough. “The outfit.”

He felt a pang of loss as he slipped back into his ordinary clothes, the soft fabric of the blouse and skirt a stark contrast to the rough denim and cotton of his usual attire. *It’s only temporary,* he reminded himself, his heart already yearning to feel the silk and lace against his skin again. *Soon I’ll be back in them, and I’ll never want to take them off.*

At the register, Leo watched, his pulse quickening, as Morgan handed over their credit card, paying for the outfit without a second thought. *They’re doing this for me,* he realized, a wave of affection washing over him. *They believe in me, in this journey I’m on.*

The sales clerk folded the garments with care, tucking them into a sleek, black bag with the boutique’s logo on the front. She handed it to Leo with a warm smile. “Enjoy your new look,” she said, her voice kind. “You wear it well.”

“Thank you,” Leo managed, his cheeks flushing with pleasure. *She’s right,* he thought, his hand tightening around the bag’s handles. *I do wear it well. And I’m going to keep wearing it, no matter what.*

Outside the boutique, the evening air was cool against Leo’s skin, the city lights twinkling overhead. Morgan turned to him, their smile soft and knowing.

“You know,” they murmured, their hand coming to rest on Leo’s arm, “this doesn’t have to be the end of the adventure. Not if you don’t want it to be.”

Leo’s breath caught in his throat, his pulse leaping. “What do you mean?” he asked, his voice barely above a whisper.

“I mean,” Morgan said, their voice low and intimate, “that I have a loft not far from here. A private space, just for us. Somewhere you can… explore. Somewhere you can be yourself, fully and completely.”

Leo swallowed hard, his heart pounding. *Morgan’s loft. Just the two of us. In my new outfit.* The idea sent a shiver down his spine, a heady mix of nerves and anticipation. “Are you sure?” he breathed, his voice rough with want.

“More sure than I’ve ever been,” Morgan purred, their hand sliding down to twine with his. “What do you say, darling? Shall we take this celebration somewhere a little more… intimate?”

Leo nodded, his throat tight with emotion. “Yes,” he whispered, his fingers tightening around theirs. “God, yes. Take me home, Morgan. Take me to your loft.”

They walked the few blocks to Morgan’s building in a comfortable silence, the city sounds a soft backdrop to the thrum of anticipation in Leo’s veins. Morgan’s hand was warm and sure in his, their presence a steady anchor as they climbed the stairs to the loft.

Inside, the space was just as Leo remembered—airy and elegant, with exposed brick walls and soft, gauzy fabrics. Morgan moved around the room, turning on a few low lamps and putting on a record. The soft strains of jazz filled the air, a sensual, intimate counterpoint to the beat of Leo’s heart.

“Make yourself at home,” Morgan murmured, shrugging out of their coat and tossing it over the back of a chair. “Can I get you a drink? I have a lovely red I’ve been saving for a special occasion.”

“A drink would be perfect,” Leo said, his voice husky with nerves. He set down the bag containing his new outfit, his fingers trembling slightly.

Morgan smiled, their dark eyes glinting in the low light. “One glass of liquid courage, coming right up.”

They disappeared into the kitchen, returning a moment later with two glasses of deep ruby liquid. Leo took his with a grateful smile, the wine smooth and rich on his tongue.

“Do you want to change?” Morgan asked softly, their gaze warm on his. “I can help you, if you like.”

Leo nodded, his throat tight. “I’d like that,” he murmured.

Morgan led him behind the rice paper screen in the corner, the same one they’d used earlier. Leo’s heart pounded as he reached for the bag, his fingers fumbling with the zipper. Morgan stepped close, their hands covering his, guiding them.

“Let me,” they murmured, their touch gentle and reassuring.

With Morgan’s help, Leo slipped out of his ordinary clothes, the rough denim and cotton giving way to the soft silk and lace of his new outfit. The blouse settled over his shoulders like a second skin, the skirt hugging his hips just so. Morgan’s fingers brushed against his back as they zipped him up, a shiver running down his spine.

“Now for the finishing touches,” Morgan purred, reaching for the delicate pieces they’d laid out earlier—the lace-trimmed slip, the silk stockings, the garter belt with its satin ribbons.

Leo’s breath caught as Morgan helped him into the slip, the lace soft and cool against his skin. The stockings whispered up his legs, the garter belt settling snugly against his hips. Each touch of Morgan’s fingers sent sparks dancing across his skin, heat pooling low in his belly.

“There,” Morgan murmured, stepping back to admire their handiwork. “You look… exquisite.”

Leo turned to face the mirror, his breath catching in his throat. The person looking back at him was a revelation—a vision in lace and silk, all curves and softness and vulnerability. *Is this me?* he wondered, his heart racing. *Is this who I’ve always been meant to be?*

“You look like a dream,” Morgan whispered, their lips brushing against his ear. “My dream.”

Leo shivered, desire unfurling in his core. He turned in Morgan’s arms, his hands coming to rest on their hips. “Morgan,” he breathed, his voice rough with want. “I… I want…”

“Tell me,” Morgan purred, their lips a hairsbreadth from his. “Tell me what you want, darling.”

“I want you,” Leo whispered, his hands fisting in the fabric of their shirt. “I want all of you.”

Morgan’s lips curved into a slow, sensual smile. “Then take me,” they murmured, their hands sliding up his back, pulling him flush against them.

“Bed,” Morgan rasped against Leo’s lips, already walking him backward toward the draped canopy. “Need you in my bed, darling.”

“Yes,” Leo gasped, his blood humming with the single sip of wine and the intoxicating proximity of Morgan’s body. The bed was soft beneath him as they tumbled down, all tangled limbs and seeking mouths.

The gauzy curtains billowed around them, a hazy filter for the city lights beyond the windows. Morgan’s hands were everywhere at once—skimming the lace edges of Leo’s slip, tracing the garter lines through his silk stockings, mapping every newly exposed curve with reverent wonder.
